  1. I did upload it a while back when I was having other problems with V1, a week or two ago. Power of the Pen--superscript index.afpub
  2. I had not edited either. I was waiting to finish the index before formatting, and this is just 1/3. Should I upload the file (again)?
  3. Seems pretty strange. I rarely use the character panel. And why would it happen just in the index?!
  4. Okay, that works. Thank you. As a "casual user" I really appreciate the help.
  5. Okay, got that, changed it to Normal, but it only changes the one word
  6. Okay, yes, it does show as your screen shot, and when I click it, 'alienation' goes back to normal. I don't know how that got turned on. Where can I turn it off for the entire index, including numerals? I tried updating the Text Style, but that didn't work.
  7. No, I have not turned on Superscript, and if I had, wouldn't that affect letters other than 'n' and some numbers? I created this index in V2, but when I tried creating one just now in V1 in an older version of the same file, there was no problem. The font is Garamond.
  8. I'm using V2 with a file first created in V1 (Windows 10). When I created an index, all the letter 'n' (and only that letter) in words becomes superscript. I just noticed the superscript is in the Text Styles titles. Plus the Index Entry size is 20 pt!
  9. Using Windows 10 with 16 GB Ram. For the past week or so, AP has been crashing every few minutes. Today it seemed more stable, until I started using the Section Manager. Now, every time I try to add Section 6, it crashes. Plus, the ToC suddenly refuses to format certain lines properly, though the settings are identical to other lines.
  10. Thank you, I was able to figure it out from this. Other questions go to a different forum, I think (ToC formatting)
  11. No, that's not what I want. AHAF ANTHOLOGY goes on all left pages unless they are supposed to be blank. The right pages section names are the author of the chapter in which they appear.
