This is what it looks like when done.

I make name files and have be doing them this way for 4-5 months. And since the update a file that would take 5 minutes total is now taking me an hour or more. This is from a template made before the update. I have even tried a different computer and it’s the same results. This video was the 5th time trying to get it to work and it did. The previous times it would just go back to what it was before I tried to align them. IMG_0275.MOV

So i purchased some sewing patterns and i want to trace the shape so i can design the fabric I am custom printing. the problem I am running into is that it will not open the files. i purchase several from the same lady and 1 file will only load the first page and the others I get the message that will be attached. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is there something wrong with her files or something all together wrong. I am using Designer and do not have any of the other Affinity programs.

I'm confused. what order to I need to do everything? Lay everything out like I want it. then group everything together and create the symbol. and make the color a global color swatch? and nest every line together?

I make name files that then get printed onto fabric. Im not sure what to call what I am asking. To make the file you repeat the same name across an artboard. The artboard sizes vary from 20x5inches to 59x37 inches and most are more than one color in an alternating pattern. Is there a way to make a template that I can save that would let me change the name and it change it for all in the same artboard or group? I can make then color changes change all together but I still have to change the text 1 by 1. Or can someone tell what I am asking for is call? I know a template in designer is for artboards but is there a way to make a text template? Attached is a visual of one I did name by name. It would be extremely convenient to just be able to change the name once per color versus every name. Thanks for any help
