depends really, i try to wait til i finish but every now and then there are some changes i like to add on the fly. Hmm, so only pen tool? Well that wasnt what i was hoping for but i guess i just have to try and rework my habits. Thank you all for your replies,

in any of the software where you can draw, is there an option to auto merge strokes when you draw with the drawing tools? Instead of having to keep selecting all, right clicking and merging each time? Or keyboard shortcut to emrge curves would suffice.
