  1. Matte Edges OFF did the trick! Thank you so much GarryP!
  2. Working in Affinity Photo 2.3.1 there seems to be many clever ways to feather or refine your selection edges, but I can't seem to figure out how to do the opposite. How do I make a hard binary selection with no feathering or bleeds? A simple pixel-on / pixel-off ragged edge selection with zero softening? This is probably a rare use case, but never the less my finished pixel pattern is going to be used for embroidery. So all this selection softening happening (even with Feather: 0 px) is doing my head in. I can't help but suspect there is something obvious I'm missing here, but I'm not able to figure out what. Anyone able to help me?
  3. NICE! This worked perfectly! Thank you, really do appreciate it. That saved me some headache. Yea, it does complicate matters a bit. I had no idea how to solve this, so I do appreciate the input.
  4. Ran into an unexpected issue on a task I thought was going to be simple. I think this perhaps might be a little bit of an oversight. Working on a PNG with a transparent background and a shape with an edge that feathers out in opacity, I needed to do a recolouring from red to blue. Was easy enough to dial in roughly the right colour with the recolour adjustment layer and merge it down. However, I needed the surface to be a specific colour (#000096). So I grab my Flood Fill Tool and drop the tolerance down to 0% only discovered to my surprise that all the pixels with other opacity levels also got filled in with solid colour, losing all the varying opacity levels creating a nasty looking edge. After undoing, I try using Flood Select Tool, again with a tolerance of 0%, only to discover to my surprise that this too does not recognize varying opacity, thus including the pixels I wanted to leave out. This made what I expected to be a relatively quick fix into a job of deselecting pixel by pixel. Is there something fundamental I've not understood here? In my head, this should have worked.
  5. Looks like I've got it working now. Changing the Renderer to Warp did not help. Cleaning out the graphic card drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller and installing the latest graphic card drivers, did not help. Turn out the problem was ASUS GPU Tweak II, a software I use to control the fans on my graphic card. Uninstalling this, rebooting and reinstalling the latest version, seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks for your help! Much appreciated.
  6. If I click anything on the top menu line, the drop-down shows up fine. However, as soon as I start moving my mouse cursor downwards, the menu options disappear as soon as they come into contact with my cursor. Therefore, I can't click on any options at all and have been forced to only use shortcut key commands to finish my work tonight. Same problem is happening in Designer and Publisher as well. Only thing different from last time I was working in Affinity is a windows update this morning.
