    Affinity on ChromeOS

I agree with bennyboe. I'm an android developer and UI designer and love Designer, Photo and I'm trying out Publisher now. What I don't love so much any more is expensive not very well performing MacBooks, I would like to switch to a chromebook, especially now that Google is releasing the pixel slate. The high end version of the slate is $1599 which is way cheaper than an equalent macbook. All developer tools are already available. But the one thing preventing me from switching is the lack of graphic software. Who ever comes first will probably get a lot of users as I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking like this. I just hope it will be Affinity.
  2. None of those suggestions helped me. But now I just tried to right click on affinity designer. Selected Get Info > Sharing & Permission. Added my own user there and set permission to read write. And now it suddenly works. Cheers
  3. Sure no problem. I followed your instructions and got the log file. See attachment. Cheers Affinity Log.log.zip
  4. How long will it take for you guys to fix this. Its really really f***ing annoying when you have been working on something, export, crash, realise you for got saving before exporting. Re open the app, load autosaved stuff that is missing all recent changes. How can I use this as a professional tool if I have to do a lot of stuff twice? Really!!!!!!!!!
  5. Have you guys found anything about this problem yet? It happens constantly now! Here is a full crash report from trying to store a png in one of the crashing folders. Process: Affinity Designer [2160] Path: /Applications/Affinity Designer.app/Contents/MacOS/Affinity Designer Identifier: com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner Version: 1.1.2 (1.1.2) App Item ID: 824171161 App External ID: 752172715 Code Type: X86-64 (Native) Parent Process: ??? [1] Responsible: Affinity Designer [2160] User ID: 501 Date/Time: 2015-03-17 17:21:35.223 +0100 OS Version: Mac OS X 10.10.2 (14C1510) Report Version: 11 Anonymous UUID: 71014E47-4403-2A94-E511-55D60B39441E crash.txt
  6. Nope, the only one that seems to work is the documents folder. Its a little bit annoying if you forget to save before exporting since the app crashes.
  7. Nope, that isn't it. It just happened again to another folder. Exports makes the app crash, and saving normally gives the same error as before.
  8. I just realised that when I try to export images to my dropbox folder where I keep all my important work does work. For exports it looks like it saves, but no file is created or overwritten. The dialog just closes. Same goes for save as in the dropbox folder but then I also get this message: "Save failed because the file could not be created. Does the file already exist and is marked as read only?" Answer to that question is no. Is this a known bug?
  9. Where can I find the export persona settings? I don't want to export to iOS preset sizes. The current app I'm designing is for android and there for I need a few more sizes then just 1x and 2x. So where can I change this? I hope Serif did not think that it should only be for iOS designers as many designers in general prefer mac over pc and doesn't only design for iOS.
