Hi @Gabe I have follow @SPaceBar suggestion reset PRAM, it only works once and it start back to doesn't have any permission again, heck I even re-install both programs, but it still here... I even update my OS into Catalina from previous Mojave. Do you guys have another tricks on your sleeve that I can try to? this is so frustrating. Now I only working on my iPad... since I cannot use it on my desktop

Hi @SPaceBar sorry for the late reply, it happened again when I want to save the file into my internal hard drive. So I guess the problem is still there and it is not because of using an external hard drive. I will try your suggestion, wish me luck

Hi @carl123 Thank you for the advice, yes it do works that way thanks for the advice, but it doesn't solve the problem that it used to be okay for a month working from external hard drive into suddenly having these problems. Thanks

Hi SPaceBar, Thank you for your greetings and reply, well base on what I saw on my font book I have 241 Font installed on my MacBookPro, but I also use a Suitcase Fusion, for my installed fonts, but I only turn it on when I'm going to use the fonts, otherwise I don't turn the application at all. I purchased both AD and AP from the Apple App Strore, AD in mid June, AP in early July this year. Based on what listed on my Suitcase I had 691 fonts on my system folder, 364 on local, 327 on system. And the font that I installed in my suitcase 285 font. But as I told you before I only turn Suitcase when I'm need it, not all the time. Hope this will help Thanks

Hi there, I'm new with both Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer, and planning to ditch the similar products other company, and so far I'm loving both of Affinity until a couple of days a go, suddenly I cannot open all my saved files, both AP and AD, it said that I don't have permission to open it. I have read other thread about this problems And this is really upset me, first I never encounter this kind of problem with other design tools, just because the amount of fonts that I use. Second of all, how come I cannot open this time but I can open those files a couple week before, with the same amount fonts running in my computers, this is strange.Third, if this because of font problem, I think Affinity should fix this bug/problem fast, since designer tend to use a font book/ suitcase. And when I'm tried to open those files after reading that post I not open any font program but still I cannot open any of my files. Could anyone please help me? I'm running on Mojave, and put all my working files into an external hard disk.
