Thanks... Sounds like a good idea. Hmm... so the "Save thumbnails with documents" box in checked. However I don't get a thumbnail, just the AF icon. I went into Explorer and the appropriate box is checked there as well. But still not thumbnail. When I exported as a jpg... I got the thumbnail.

Ah... Thanks so much Jeff. Seems a bit too many unnecessary steps. But it works. Yay!!!! That solved both problems. 😲

Hello... I'm a Newbee switching from many years of usage of Corel Paint shop Pro. I have searched this topic and followed all the recommendations and still am having trouble. In File Explorer, I can't get a thumbnail image instead of an Affinity Icon. So I have no idea what image I am opening or attaching. Today I realize that the photo is an .afphoto extention and not a .jpg or jpeg extention. So I opened the photo in Affinity Photo to save it as a .jpg or .jpeg. And there is no option other than to save it as an .afphoto. That can't be the case, or I'm screwed. I just bought the whole Affinity suite of products. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
