  1. OK, so you move from one billion dollar company to another multi billion dollar (and ugly) company? Good luck if that’s your move…
  2. Why why why do you relate to Indesign in this thread?? It's really really Off-Topic... Affinity Publisher isn't Adobe Indesign, so, what's the point??
  3. Good luck to you if you should make this kind of software suite, without any manual because you have made the applications intuitive! Probably you would have employment everywhere among all big software companies… But, you seems not be living in reality so this will never happen… RTFM.
  4. But, your attached document isn't made in Affinity Designer v.2.50 beta 1 - so, how could you use Line Width Tool then??
  5. Yeah, Logic Pro id da shit!! Bought it when they reached version 10 back in 2013 ($200), and now, 11 years later, it’s v10.85 and I haven’t paid a penny for Logics updates since then! Incredible!
  6. Ok, but, if it’s so, why have Serif struggled to take Affinity Publisher to the iPad in the first place - doesn’t make sence!! iPad version of Publisher is around 95% of the desktop version - pretty strange priorities from Ashley concerning the planning of resources in the team…
  7. The only thing to complain about concerning Affinity Suite is two things: 1. Very very basic functionalities has still not be seen in this Suite after so many years - why? 2. Why have Serif Ltd holding off several new features to iPad, but released on Mac and Windows? Bad priorities…
  8. This reply from Patrick is really funny… Why shouldn’t the head of Flourish have nothing than positive things to say about Canva? He’s not neutral, he’s part of this konglomerat Canva International (soon to be bought by Adobe Inc.)…
  9. How many of you out there that is negative around this buyout of Serif Ltd? It seems that PC have been waking up and starting treathen us if we continue our replying around our negativism…
  10. Ash - everything "you" promise here, is that written in a buyout-contract between the former Serif-owner and Canva? Because - if it ain't an written commitment, there's nothing that can't be changed down the road... You may excuse me, but I'm enormous skeptical to all this Affinity/Canva future...
  11. No, it can't be the money that brought Serif Ltd mentally broken... Serif Ltd as a company has earned more than 45 million pounds (50m dollar) the last three years - pretty good for a really small company. So, where have all the money been going? Not to speed up the slooooow development of Affinity Suite...
  12. Good suggestion! I use the app CrossOver on my Macs to run “old” Windows application (can’t install Win on another drive because I have Apple Silicon CPU:s on my Macs)… CrossOver is fantastic - I can run so many Win-apps not present on Mac platform - Xara as an example - also many special utilities that I need. Nice to avoid a real Windows computer and just stick to Macbook Pro, iMac and fabulous big iPads… https://www.codeweavers.com/crossover/
  13. Favorite in reprise: Thanks to the great member @Bit Disappointed
  14. Best reply ever! We are now eagerly awaiting the answer what have changed since 25 of mars 2024? How come that we all of a sudden are important for Caffinity??
  15. This pictures say it all - almost every Serif staff will not survive this storm, just Ashley and his friend that have gotten some floatingwests…
  16. No, they haven't had ANY cash flow problem in Serif Ltd recently - this small company has made 45 million pounds (50m dollar) real profit last three years, so, that has not certainly been the problem...
  17. Are you serious now??? "Technically the Affinity V2 has everything that We need" - what an idiotic reply... If we already had everything, Serif Ltd could have frozen the development of Affinity Suite already... I could do an 20 sentence long list what's missing in Affinity Suite, but that is just so tiring... What I really miss, and are disappointed at from Serif, is that several new functionalities into Affinity Suite has been left out on iPad platform - silly decisions...
  18. I don't get it? Do you think I'm positive to this new Canva affair? No... Yeah, happy "amateur", but not that I trust my Affinity Suite. Making a lot of work on my spare time to sportsclubs, shops, minor advertising and so on - but never get paid because that's my mission to help certain people in society. I have another daytime job.
  19. You're one of the real veterans here on the forum - clever nice and skilled. But, for me it ain't about subscription or not, it's about a entusiastic "small" company in England that has an profile to be independent , a company we could forum chat with the owners and developer... But now it will become an faceless super capitalistic company that don't care about old customers - new users in, more money, products with glossy advertising - this will not end well for sure... And, pretty obvious that the guys in top of Serif Ltd will quit sooner or later with pockets full of dollars&pounds...
  20. This is how it will end - ONE subscription only will be offered - it will unlock Canva and Canva Suite (former Affinity Suite)...
  21. This is just Ashleys damage control over yesterday show that was a mess.. And, don't be too optimistic - can't see any benefits of this in the future...
  22. You're talking just like you're involved in this tragic affair - are you a Quisling? You are TOO optimistic to be believed on...
  23. So you refuse to link us to this topic - in an thread that is the most populated thread in the Caffinity forum... Such a nice bloke...
  24. Pledge 3 - why is this so good just now? Serif could have been giving away software to schools much earlier - it doesn't cost money for them to distribute software digital, if we compare how it was back in history with diskettes CD's and fat manuals... Also, giving away software for free to kids that doesn't have the money, isn't a lost, it's just a win-win situation and has nothing to do with the ugly Canva dystopia...
