    It can take up to a few minutes till the app opens. yesterday it refused to appear at all. it took me three attempt until it finally opened. i work with macOs Catalina 10.15.4 on an iMac (27", Ende 2013) 3,4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5. anybody any idea? greetings from Wolf in the black forest ....

    The direction of your hint was right: System Preferences / Users and groups / Login Items I found AP in the list of "automatically open" apps, BUT not ticked... Ticking it would just "hide" it (I'm using Catalina 10.15.3). So I decided to remove AP from this list and this WORKED! Thanx for your help

    Each time I start my iMac Affinity Photo opens automatically. I don't want that! How to stop this?
