  1. Thanks will do. Sorry I meant Hardware acceleration. I had to check on it and realized this is what the google info meant. I have just done what you recommended now and let's see what happens
  2. OK so I was looking forward to the latest 'super duper' update of Affinity Photo 1.10.1.1142 - OMG I am so very very very frustrated, Annoyed and upset. I have spent many hours getting to grips with the software and thought it was fabulous BUT what the H... is going on? It crashes all the time for no apparent reason. I can be editing for 1/2 hour and suddenly it freezes after carrying out exactly the same processes I have done for the last 1/2 hour. Some days I can't even complete 1 raw edit. There is no pattern and I can't write down everything I do prior to it crashing. So yesterday here is a typical example of several edits made on a jpg file (all previously edited and developed using Nikon NX studio) 1. Denoise, Brightness/contrast adjustment, HSL shift, then finally Live High pass filter for a final sharpen - it froze. 'Live high pass filter not responding'. 2. Jpg file again edited in Nikon NX studio and exported as JPG Live Denoise filter - freezes. As I have no faith in Affinity Photo I now use the FREE software NX studio to edit and develop my raw files (surprisingly good Free software). Today no issue what so ever for about 2 hours and now Affinity is not usable. System Dell Inspiron 7, 10th generation PC, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10 Home. Affinity 1.10.1.1142 Is anyone doing anything about these crashes? - Where can I get support from? and someone to resolve the problem. Is it worth uninstalling and going back to an earlier version of Affinity Photo ? not perfect but it didn't crash quite as much. I tried to google problem but all I get is 'deactivate program accelerator' - NOT possible to do on this computer.
  3. MMMMM not sure I'm convinced with the result. I have already tried disabling this function and yes I did see the histogram adjust but I'm not impressed with the results I get. To me the edges blur more than reduce the fringing. Is it me or is this all I should expect from this function? when I use the de fringe sliders it blurs even more !
  4. The Chromatic aberration removal does not seem to be responding in the develop persona. When I tick the box nothing happens. I noticed in a video online (from 2018) that a grey box appears on screen (similar to when you press the Develop button) showing you that the image is being processed. Sorry not a good image but all I could get - at least you get the idea what I am talking about. I see absolutely no change in any images I try it out on. Nor do the de fringe sliders make any difference. Does this mean I have no CA/fringing ??? or that this function is not working properly ??? I can see purple/green fringing and I sometimes get it blurred when I use the de fringe sliders
  5. Thanks, I do have sufficient RAM. Now I have tried this out, I notice that I don't see any change to the histogram until I actually select the tone curve. If I click on the curve then reset it, then the histogram has changed to what I would expect to be . Is this normal ? I wish it was more instant but at least I can now see it. Thanks
  6. Hi, I am working in the Develop persona on my raw file. When I apply a tone curve I don't see any changes to the histogram, should I? The image is clearly very different, so I would expect to see some movement in the histogram I have tried selecting and unselecting the exposure bias but nothing changes. Help
