Won't save on Mac OS Catalina

Hello, I recently updated my MacBook Pro 2017 to Catalina and since doing so I can edit a photo in affinity and once I reach the end of editing, it says it cannot save to photos and erases everything I edited. This is incredibly frustrating as I have a business and need the workflow to make editing photos much faster and simpler. I installed the latest beta version, restarted my computer, ticked and unticked all affinity uses from the manage part of photos, nothing is working. PLEASE HELP!
