I have since dragged the offset tool to a corner from the text and I can see the shadow behind the editable area?

Hey very new to Affinity so this could be quite simple: I am adding outer shadow to my text and have done so on a separate document successfully, however not on this one. I've fiddled with the settings to make a potentially massive shadow in a bright yellow so I notice when it shows, but it isn't showing. Any help would be greatly appreciated Raz
