Hi guys! All started with a try to make photos of an open book. I failed because of bad lighting and a bad camera. So I started making a mockup in Affinity Photo. Distort the exported page from Publisher and make it fit to the book cover is no problem so far. My problem is that I have to fit about 20 single pages ... all the same way. Do you guys have a nice way to make this steps easier? Like an action in Photoshop or sth else? I really appreciate your ideas! Thanks, Charlie

Hi guys! I have a question about moving objects in publisher. I´m working on a book with about 100 pages. I want a small bird flying from left to right. It shall change its x-position +20 pixels on every page. Sure, I can do it by hand but is there an automation for that? I want to place it one time on my master page and then move it until the last page ... Thanks for your ideas, Charlie

Since now I send them everything as PDF/X1a:2003 ... this flattens everything and there are no transparencies any more. Thanks, Charlie

Hi Gabe! Thanks for checking! I talked to them before I made this post and they said that there are transparent parts in the pictures. I think that they simply made a mistake I cannot verify. They offered a re-print with pre checking my data. I made several (>40) print jobs with this printer and this never happened before. But this was the first print job made with publisher ... Maybe a wrong PDF setting ... maybe sth other.

Hi guys! I have a problem I cannot really understand. Hope that someone can explain how to make it better: I crated some pages with some text & some symbols. Normal work ... After finishing I created a pdf file which looks great on my screen and sent this pdf to a printing press. The result was bad. The symbols have a dark background. The thing I do not understand ist WHY? I used the same symbols before with InDesign and the result was ok and printable. Same symbols with publisher: not ok. Pls see the pics to get a better idea what I mean. The pen is an imported PNG-file. The plate is a clipboard copy from affinity photo. I talked to the printing press hotline. They told me that there are transparent parts included and responsible for my problem. So I rastered the images and sent a testfile to them: same result :-( Software was: Publisher 1.7.3.481 Any idea to solve the problem? Thanks a lot, Charlie

Hi again! One more: With the beta 1.8.0 installed the linked personas photo and designer do not open. A window opens and notices me to use the beta of the related programs. How can I tell the Publisher beta 1.8.0 where to find its buddies? Thanks!

Thanks for your quick help Jon! Can you name the corrupt files, or can I locate them with the crash report by myself? How can I avoid this in the future? I often use copy/paste from other programs (affinity photo and designer). Would it be better to first save the elements and then place them in publisher? Would be another step and this kills the workflow ... I already rebuilt my file (it wasn´t too big yet), thanks for the option to fix it! Thanks, Charlie
