littleredhat got a reaction from Jowday in weird problem with Designer subtraction tool
Raising this issue again - January 2020. Not so much with the Subtract tool, but the Divide tool regularly produces artefacts. No luck with the rotating trick, though this really shouldn't be necessary to get this to work properly.
