Thanks, Walt. I also discovered that selecting the Move tool works as well.

I’m trying to learn Affinity Designer. Having selected the Artistic Text tool, I played around with it, then deleted the image on the screen. Now I want to turn off the tool and cannot see how to do that. I have clicked on the button to no avail.
