  1. I would like to buy the whole V2 suite. But I need to be able to copy a channel of an image to the alpha channel of the same image. I should be able to edit the alpha channel as well as the RGB channels. Of course I should be able to load an RGBA image, edit the alpha channel and save it as an RGBA image without changing the RGB values (straight alpha).
  2. Hi Dan, many thanks for your help. Affinity Photo no longer crashes. I switched off the 'Metal Speedup' there and now everything goes much faster. This option should be disabled by default. 😀 All the best, Klaus
  3. Affinity Photo 1.9.3 freezes and crashes on OSX 11.3.1 while using the paint and rubber stroke on all kind of images. I have attached one crash log for your info. WindowServer_2021-05-12-100735_MacBook-Pro-2.crash
  4. Maybe someone can create a video that only shows the needed workflow. Then it is much easier to understand.
  5. Can you please implement this PS function? I would like to copy a selection to a pixel layer by keyboard without creating a new layer. With this tool I can change the selected area and the target pattern very fast. Of course it does not have to be cmd-alt. I could be any other keyboard combination. It is not very practical to use cmd-J and cmd-E. I can not change the brush shape very quickly in the Clone tool and always have to pick a new source area if I need a specific part as a replacement pattern.
  6. Oh, usually I always keep the original photo, and when a photo has been changed, I save it under an extended filename (for example: photo_corr). Then I can see later if the photo is original or edited. I have been working with computers for 35 years and have never lost anything with this workflow. And yes, I am also forced to install Catalina. I would be overjoyed if I could switch to Affinity. Because I see really great features there.
  7. Yes, that's the problem with the alternatives: With the requested feature, I can quickly copy hundreds of different areas. The alternatives are not really practical. The clone tool requires more clicks, and the cmd-J and cmd-E commands are also more labor-intensive. But I try it with the clone tool. In the past, I've tested features like clone and repair and have never been happy with the result. Nothing was better than human intelligence to remove objects.
  8. Thank you for your response. Because I use this feature to remove unneeded objects, to reconstruct patterns, etc., hundreds of layers would be added very quickly. The non-destructive idea is nice, but not necessary in this case. I have just tested the clone tool and think this is sufficient for me at the moment. But it would still be nice to have the desired function. And THANK YOU VERY MUCH for developing such a great tool.
  9. How can I copy a selection with cmd-alt in a pixel layer without making a new layer. I like to switch fro PS to Affinity Photo and need this function a lot.
