I am not using any Sony apps at all. They are indeed coming from scanner software - EpsonScan, using an Epson Perfection V800.

So Bob hijacked my support request and it's all well and good that you're looking at his issue, but what about MY ORIGINAL problem? (I'm actually a paid customer here.)

I couldn't find the original file in the above screenshot, but it was easy for me to reproduce the issue on another file. I've uploaded it to the link you provided.

Why does Affinity Photo have so much trouble reading TIFFs? So often, this happens - and every single time the glitch splits the image straight down the middle, either top to bottom like this example, or right/left in others. Other programs (Lightroom, Mac OS Preview, etc.) can read these files just fine.
