Briss has been a wonderful tool for Windows and open-source OS systems to trim off excess white spaces surrounding some published PDF documents. Is there any way to do global trimming? Or is there a convoluted method involving defining new Master page resizing, etc. ? On the Briss tool (last version 0.9) one could drag corners to desired proportions for Left and Right pages and it is done on requesting a crop. It automatically appends a suffix "_crop" to output filename if required.

I am trying to associate the AP ver 2 to a file type in another "open with" on another image browser I can see only my older ver 1 in usual "Program Files" Affinity folder. Where is the new exe installed by new MSIX installer when I bought the new ver 2 application package ? I have associated the image type with AP ver 1 all right but locating the execuatable for ver 2 in windows 10 or 11 is a little difficult. How is the new structure organised ? MSIX means new version 2 only appear as a 300+ Mb install as I assume it marks all shared DLL et al files as under ver 1.

I exported a work file from Affinity Photo to a PSD format with varying outcomes depending on the image I edited. On most occassions, the rendering of the thumbnail image (if multi-layered) on XNView MP is not possible, and quite understandable. On some occassions, the rendered image has totally different colour saturation, oftenovder-saturated. I checked the PSD in my CS5 Photoshop edit session, and it was indeed over-saturated. Was it a mismatch in the ICC profile ? I tried using several profiles and somehow, it is difficult to match accurately even if a profile is available in PS CSx. What parameters should one look out for in this scenario ?

I selected a colour on a point using eyedropper. It displays on the selection and I proceeded to then use the selection tool for an area of the photo. When I used the flood fill tool, the colour that was painted on is different from the eyedropper selection. How do I fix this ? In Photoshop CS4/CS5 where I have been using in the past, it's pretty straight forward.

On a Windows 10 Pro Affinity Photo upgrade to latest 1.8.3 resulted in the loss of my NIK Collection (older version "Color Efex Pro 4, Viveza 2 etc.. " that was working before the update of AP to ver 1.8.3.xxx) filters as well. when I added the reference to the standard C:\Program Files\Google\Nik Collection\ ... area, it accepted it but the filter options are all greyed out when a Photo was actually being edited. Is this a bug in latest release ?

I had the same problem with Photo ver 1.8.0.585 dated 24/2/20 that failed to display the menu text after initial startup and crashed. Beta 1.8.1.610 seems to work. It's time for changes to be rolled into a production release. I have yet to test all other features but at least it starts up on my older HP Elitebook now running Windows 10 with updates to version 1909.

AP and alignment for photos scanned
KFam posted a topic in Feedback for Affinity Photo V1 on Desktop
Photoshop users always have access to the arbitrary rotate option, which is intuitive and automatically taken by users to mean the default angle to correct for vertical/horizontal line (horizon) adjustment. There is no easy access to anything as simple as this in the base menu. Is this an add-on or macro required of the product to make it work ? In addition, when I used the NIK correction modules in AP, there is no provision in the layers to show separate (retractable) adjustments like that which could be done in my CS2 CS3 /CS4 Photoshop. It looks like I cannot reverse the change as in Photoshop's smart object.
