  1. Thank you both for having looked into this issue.
  2. Hi, Following a discussion on the numbering behavior of Affinity Publisher 2.4.0, I have found a small issue when using it in conjunction with styles. Here is a MWE: Create a new document in Affinity Publisher 2.4.0 (on MacOS) Create a second page Create a box in each page Type some text in those boxes, say in box 1, "Introduction" and in box 2 "Development" Create a style (I called it Numbered) Apply to both boxes Check that both texts have the Numbered style Then modify the Numbered style by: Setting numbering style to I, II, III (the others lead to the same issue) Setting the numbering to global Naming the list, for instance "Part" Setting Restart numbering to Under the active style [FR: Sous le niveau actif] And… the numbering does not work has expected, instead of leading to "I. Introduction", "II. Development", I have: "I. Introduction", "I. Development". You would have to reapply the style to these texts to have it working correctly. I guess this is not the expected behavior. Edit: Added the step that was forgotten (Naming the list, for instance "Part")
  3. Hi @MikeTO, I confirm it does. But there is still bug. If you reproduce the steps indicated here: I expect you will find the same. To be clearer, I am going to create a new message in the found bugs section.
  4. Hi @MikeTO, I agree. But meanwhile, I think I have found an issue in AP 2.4.0. i would be interested to hear from users who would try to repeat the steps indicated in the last message you replied to.
  5. Surprisingly, I am sure it was. So I tried a MWE: Create a new document Create a second page Create a box in each page In box 1, typed Introduction, in box 2 Development Created the style Numbered Applied to both boxes Checked that both texts have the Numbered style Then modified the Numbered style by: Setting numbering style to I, II, III (the others lead to the same issue) Setting the numbering to global Naming the list "Part" Setting Restart numbering to Under the active style [FR: Sous le niveau actif] And… the numbering does not work has expected, instead of leading to "I. Introduction", "II. Development", I have: "I. Introduction", "I. Development" I guess this is not the expected behavior. Edit: Added the missing step (Naming the list "Part")
  6. OK, I have found the answer. The changes made to the style were not automatically applied to the texts under this style (?). I had to reapply the style to each of the existing part names, and the numbering is now correct.
  7. I have tried the different settings and none works as I would like, the numbering remains "I.".
  8. I wonder if my question was clear: For example, I would like to have: I. Introduction II. Development III. Conclusion IV. Perspectives Except that I would like the numbering to be global, as these titles are in different slides. I am typing the text myself, I am just looking for a way to get this automatic numbering.
  9. Hi, I am using AP 2.4.0 to produce a structured presentation. How can I define a style that would be automatically numbered throughout the document to number the parts of the presentation? For instance, I would like: Page 1 to have something like I. [Name of the first part] Page 48 has something like II. [Name of the second part] I have tried generating the following styles, but all the headings are preceded by I. instead of I., II., III. etc. Thank you!
  10. Very interesting idea, though it has to attach to an object and does not appear visibly on the document I also find this strange that "Correct" [FR: Corriger], actually means "Delete" the comment.
  11. Hello, I am preparing slides for a course using Affinity Publisher. After giving a course, I like to leave comments for improvements for the following year. Is it possible to add text blocks or layers that would not be exported in the export PDF? Thank you very much, LEB
  12. Thank you very much, I would say that ideally the default behaviour should be the opposite: Keep as much of the existing structure as possible to avoid unnecessary reselection of layers.
  13. Hi @Hangman and @MikeTO, strangely, I retried on the same document where I saw the problem and I could not reproduce it either.
  14. Hi, I noticed the following bug on AP 2.4.0 on MacOS: Create a table of contents in a document Edit the style of one of the entries from the Text Style studio (modify [FR : Modifier [style name]) Changes are taken into account immediately in some cases (e.g. bolding), but others requiring refreshing the ToC (e.g. changing the font colour). This inconsistency seems a bug to me. Edit: Actions edited for clarity.
  15. Hi @Hangman, In French, the decimal separator is a comma, and AP converts any decimal point to a decimal comma in these fields.
  16. I just clicked on the text and saw that the language was changed in the "Characters" settings.
  17. Hi, I was able to reproduce the following unexpected behavior in Affinity Publisher 2.4.0 on MacOS. Write a text in English, for example, but incorrectly set the language to French. Write a second text in English, with the language set correctly to English. Use the style pipette to apply the style of the second text to the first. The text is now correctly defined as being in English, but the spellchecker still finds errors for non-French English words. LEB
  18. It would be interesting to be able to add (colored) tags to the pages in the Pages panel, in order, for example, to point to pages that still need a lot of work.
  19. It would be good that there is an indication in the Pages panel indicating that the pages will be hidden.
  20. Hello, I have noticed the following: Place a Designer document in a Publisher 2.4.0 document on MacOS Select the layers to be displayed Any change to the source document, however minor, resets the selection of the layers placed. This can be terribly time-consuming, and we lose a large part of the advantage of having a dynamically placed document. LEB
