A bug with Affinity Photo or with my PC?

Just very recently I sm experiencing strange things with Affinity Photo. The selection tools are barely working, especisally FREEHAND which doesnt work at all. Also CROP tool hss stopped working altegether. Help would be appreciated

Thanks. I went to View, Studio, then Layers (it was already ticked) but didnt get me to my layers panel.
