I'm looking for a photo editor and Affinity Photo seems like a really nice program. I decided to start a trial to decide if it is right for me, but immediately ran into a problem with extremely long startup times. Upon opening the program I am prompted on whether I want to continue my trial or buy the program. When I click to continue the trial, the window opens, but none of the buttons appear and clicking the program causes it to go unresponsive. I decided to restart it and not click anywhere, and waited over 70 seconds for the program to finally work properly (in other words, the buttons appeared and the program worked as intended). I decided to do several time tests and each time the program took anywhere from 70 seconds to 2 minutes in order to open. Since I can't imagine this is normal, I'm wondering what can be done about it, because naturally I don't want to wait 2 minutes any time I have to edit a photo.
I am running Windows 10 on a computer with an i7 8th gen processor and 8 GB RAM. I am happy to supply any more information upon request, as I'm not sure what may be useful.
