Gotcha, thanks!

I'm working on a project to cut out paper planes from this book. I'm remaking the planes in Affinity because I can cut out vector files at our local makerspace on the laser cutter/engraver. I'm also trying to color the projects and get them to match the actual planes. In the attached example, I'm coloring a P-80 Shooting Star. I have a simple question, and no doubt I'm missing something obvious. In the third screenshot, I'm trying to attach two nodes together. They are exactly on top of one another. I select both nodes, hold down shift, and click "Join Curves." Nothing happens, and both nodes are still independent of one another. What am I missing?

Expand stroke is unavailable in my app. That's certainly a neat feature though. I think my "work-around" is sufficient for my needs though.

I couldn't get that to work. So what I did was increase the width of the stroke. Then I manually followed the path with a new line. Then I returned the stroke width to its normal size. It's probably off by a few pixels, but for my purposes it works fine. Thanks for your help!

Hmmm.... "Expand Stroke" is not an option under my "Layers" menu item. And "Separate Curves" is greyed out.

How do I do that?

New user trying to figure out how to make offset lines. I'm trying to outline the attached image. In the first image, I have the general outline. I want to duplicate the bottom image so that the next line follows the curve of the top. What is the best way to accomplish this?

Thanks Callum. Unfortunately I don't have the fonts. I'll have to try something different.

New user here. Trying to open a pdf in Affinity, because I want to convert it to multiple pages on one sheet of paper. When I open it, it says that fonts are missing. Original pdf was created by someone else on Canva. The pdf opens with the correct fonts in Adobe, but not in Affinity. Any idea why?
