Unless you are in Separated mode (settable in the Windows menu), each open document should have its own tab at the top of the workspace window. It is sort of like how Safari & several other Mac apps use tabs for different open documents.
What is not very Mac-like about it is the Windows menu does not have an entry for anything but the frontmost document.
