  1. I can select an individual curve and choose "Layer -> Duplicate Linked" to create a copy where changes to the original will be applied to the copy. Is there any way to do this for more than one curve at once? If I try selecting more than one curve then "Duplicate Linked" is still available in the menu, but if I click it only the first object is duplicated linked; the remaining objects are duplicated in the ordinary way, i.e. not linked.
  2. As far as I can tell, the handles used by the fill tool (e.g. for a bitmap fill) are always relative to the filled object's bounding box. This means that resizing an object which is filled by a photo, for example, has the expected effect, but it has some drawbacks: If I use the fill tool to rotate fill handles and then change the aspect ratio of the filled shape, I get fill handles which are not at right angles. It's then not possible to get them back to a right angle using the fill tool, which is a bit counter-intuitive. It makes it very difficult to work with a bitmap texture, e.g. a metal or paint texture. What I'd like to do is find a scale and rotation of my bitmap texture which looks good, create a style from that and then apply the style to various shapes in my design. For that to look good I need the bitmap scaled and oriented consistently in all the shapes, however any way I try to do this in Affinity Designer (making a style, copy and paste style) the bitmap texture is distorted. The rounded rectangle tool has an "Absolute Sizes" option. If the fill tool had something similar which could be used to select between absolute and relative fill handle positioning that would be great. Kind regards, D.
  3. Thank you for your suggestion. I tried it and it worked as you said, but I do need the transparency to achieve the effect I'm looking for. I managed to solve the problem by resorting to using GIMP: I loaded the greyscale image in GIMP, inverted it, added an alpha channel, used "Transparency >> Colour to Alpha" to make black transparent and "Map >> Colour Exchange" to make white orange. I then saved the image, loaded it in Affinity Designer with the fill tool and it worked as desired. It would be great if it were possible to achieve the effect entirely in Affinity Designer though.
  4. Hi, I have a greyscale image which I want to use as the fill inside some shapes in Affinity Designer which is something I know I can do with the fill tool. However I want to recolour the image so that the dark parts are orange and the light parts are transparent. It isn't just a black and white image, there are shades of grey, and I'd like to convert those to shades along a gradient from orange to transparent. I'm sure it must be possible to do this with the right combination of tools in Affinity Designer but I haven't been able to work out how. Can anyone help? Thanks, djn
