I am currently running the trials of affinity photo/designer/publisher and am trying to create text where the text itself is "see through" and shows the background image while the text box has a background color highlighting the text. (Something like the attached image which was not created via the Affinity programs.) In Designer, I was able to do what I wanted but could not change the opacity of the background textbox so I moved to Publisher. There I was able to change the opacity of background how I wanted it but could not figure out a way to change the opacity of the text itself to be gone so I could have "see through" text (I did this in Designer by using stroke and setting text opacity to none). In Publisher, the text was not "see through" but had the background color of the text fill I chose.
Is it possible to do what I want using the Affinity programs? Am I just not taking the best approach to get there?
