  1. This morning I had my first Designer lockup and I can reproduce it plenty of times.

Its a tiny job just a label for a fella that runs a small soap stall on the market. So nothing taxing at all.

    So...

Open a designer file and go to save as PDF.

Folder dialogue opens and I select the folder which is the same place as where the file is coming from.

I am overwriting the currrent PDF - so same name...

But what I inadvertantly did was instead of clicking the current PDF I clicked the arrow on the icon (multi page pdf - only 4 pages)

This sent designer into the world of whaaatttttt.

And greyed out the save box.

The file weirdly did save but I had to crash Designer using finder and Force quit.

    System is

    Designer 1.8.4

2019 Mac mini with 32gig ram running Catalina 10.15.7

    All OS updates installed.

    Cheers

  2. It would be say... I don't know.. A shot of a phone and I want to clip it to delete the background.

I find clip paths quick and easy to do for objects and have 20 years of doing it. I find the selection brush for such things a little hit and miss. I have used selection brushes in Ps but always return to pathing. Unless its a people shot with hair; then the selection brush is better.

A good chunk of my work is technical images to do with energy and engineering and a clip path is good to drop out the background quickly and cleanly.

That said your idea shows promise.

    Cheers

  3. Kill me now.. just kill me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't tell you how many projects I have completed with Publisher.... I am going one after another at the moment.

Honestly I think I need to take a break O.o

Thanks and my profound apologies and a booked eye test.

  4. Have we lost image opacity slider in 1.7.3 on MAC?

When I select any image on the document the slider seems to.. well not be available to the tune of no actual slider handle??

It doesn't seem to matter if I select the picyure frame or the lower image layer?

  5. Same here. Same pop-up screens.

Publisher purchased direct from Serif with the Beta testing launch offer. Designer and Photo purchased from MAC App store.

    All at 1.7.3

EDIT... Now all are running again??? I deleted the Beta version of Publisher off my system and did a re-start and now all is well.

    Running on a 2018 MAC MINI | i7 16gig ram | Os Mojave 10.14.6

  6. Hmmm. My Publisher has started to crash on print command.

MAC Mojave 10.14.6 latest Apple updates installed a couple of days back and this is probably the first time asking Publisher to print in a good while. I will head over to the beta forum and pull down the file.

Yep the Beta did just fine. :)

    Thanks

    Rob

  7. Hi all.

First post and first real problem encountered. Previous version of publisher were running on a 2011 macbook pro i7 running Sierra now on a brand new 2018 mac mini (which has its own problems)! running 10.14.03, Publisher crashing when stretching a text frame alongside trying to move spreads. Reports being sent to Apple?

I have been using the Publisher Beta since early days and this is my first real problem. Such a great set of apps I have Designer and Photo.

    Thanks

    Rob
