Hi Dan. It seemed to be an issue with a jpeg created from a pdf, my client gave me. Not sure why, but the converted jpeg would not go lower. When I got a jpeg of the image from my client, everything worked much better. I'm not sure why the jpeg from a pdf was having so many issues? Thanks for your help.

Hi. I have watched the tutorial for compressing a jpeg image for websites, and tried to follow the instructions. But the file, at 700x1000 pixels, is 863kb. That is huge for a website. I have tried reducing noise, I have the quality set to 50, I have progressive selected, embedded metadata unchecked. Not sure what I am missing. In photoshop, that file would have been no larger than 250k, so I know it should be smaller. Can someone explain what I am doing wrong? Thanks!
