  1. Yes, I also find the change unintuitive. In previous version finger modifiers worked very straightforwardly: 1 finger did x vs 2 did y vs 3 did z. Now I fight with it - seems no matter how many fingers I put down it just wants to make a selection box and its a real struggle to get the nodes to move the way I want.
  2. Hello, Before the update when I selected a node with the node tool I frequently used finger modifiers. One finger to move the line along the same angled path. 2 fingers to move it at right angels. Now when I put down any number of fingers if just opens a selection tool and selects multiple nodes. Occasionally, if I move the node a little then place the fingers it works - but generally its already out of alignment before the modifier works. Has the gesture changed? Many thanks Laura
  3. Hello I make designs where I create shapes then put child layers within them. Sometimes, to get the look I want I make the "holding" shape line clear. When I try to change all the line sizes within the document and select all to make it faster there are 2 things that happen that I would like to prevent: 1. The child layer lines stay the same. Is there a way to get them to change at the same time? 2. The clear "holding" lines turn black when they are resized and I have to go in and change them all back to clear. Is there a way for them to stay clear as I resize them with the rest of the shapes? I made a video that shows both occurrences. thank you Laura Line question.MP4
  4. I am trying to get many thin lines to go at the same angle in multiple places. I can make one and copy paste it to get the multiples, but when I put on the nodes tool to adjust the length and connect it to other lines it always changes the angle as I change the length. Is there a way in the nodes tool to see what angle I am at or make it so the line stays consistent at its angle? Thank you Laura
  5. Hello I am new to this so apologies if this is a basic and obvious question. I created a pattern then put a circle over the pattern. I want the pattern to fill only the circle and the rest of the pattern to disappear. Is there a shortcut or way to make this happen easily? pic 1: pattern pic 2: pattern with circle Many thanks!
  6. Hello I make coloring books and have always used a raster program. For many reasons I am trying to quickly switch my work over to vector and I have no clue where to begin. I am wondering if there is anyone I could connect to that could show me specific things somewhat quickly. Black line art, lots of symmetry, repeating patterns (copy/paste), perfect circles and arcs, etc. I have attached a sample of my work. Many thanks! L. Leslie sample.tiff
