  1. Hi there, In Indesign it is possible to control the layers of a linked (and placed) file, e.g. .psd photoshop-layers or .ai illustrator-layers. If the original file is modified and saved, the link could easily be updated and the preset layers toggled on or off would still be in existance. Is this possible in publisher too? I mean placing an Affinity Photo or Designer file with layers as a linked file, control layers and keep these layer settings even after updating a modified original? In the AF Publisher Beta I use AF Designer files to create maps, and AF Publisher to layout documents containing those maps. Switching layers on and off makes it possible to display different kinds of info in a AF Publisher document, generated from one single "mother"-Designer-file (map).
