[Cannot delete, or move Text box on Master page]

After watching more videos, I see what was happening. I was just single clicking from the document page, to the master page which changed the blue highlight, which I "assumed" meant I was on the master template and was editing there. I now know to 2x click to edit whichever document/master I am intending, and also to look at the bottom bar to confirm which item I am editing. Thanks Walt for your input.

I need to watch more tutorials, but got it addressed. I was editing the Master Page, not an inherited page, but I was finally able to delete the text field by Right mouse clicking on the Master Page layers folder and selecting 'Edit Detached' - I am not sure what that did, but it then allowed me to select and delete the field. Now I just need to learn why.

I have a text box on my master that I am not able to delete, or I find, move.  I am able to add or remove text, but want to just remove it but it appears locked.

You might be right, I thought Affinity Designer did an update recently, bu may not have. In any case, issue still exists.

I am finding with my Huion G10T tablet and Pen, when I raise my pen above the tablet more than approx 2", the brush changes to the eraser each time. It appears to have started doing that with this recent update.
