That’s exactly what it was! This would be much easier to find if the “?” (Help Button) identified items inside the context tool bar when pressed. Just a suggestion to help new users like myself. Thanks for for the help!

I am using the iPad Pro version 1.6.5.61 and I am having the same issue here. I place a black mask over my duplicate later and try to paint with the brush tool and nothing happens. I do, however, have the ability to use the pixel brush tool to do “paint” with. Is is this an issue that Affinity is going to address in future updates? Has the bug been addressed on the desktop platforms?
