[Black and White Images as Layer Mask]

I definately can`t understand the logic of image masks here. 
Export to PSD doesn`t work for some reasons, so I can`t even finish my work in PS. 
Now I`m exporting 40 layers one by one. This is not good, guys. Hole day today I spent on a deadline work for architecture studio and it is not even finished. 
Affinity seems useless for large progects yet. So sorry.

Yes, that`s right. I`ve bought Affinity Photo yesterday.
I`m using Windows 10 x64
And the part of the file I`m working with.

It's working correctly for me. Where are you having issues? If you only have a single layer and convert it to a mask then you will see nothing because there's nothing for the mask to act on. You need to have other layers below it to see the effect of the mask. Even without other layers, if you ⌥ (option/alt) click the mask layer in the Layers panel you should be able to see it as a greyscale image.

Well, I can`t do that anyway. So strange. 
Can I just copypaste black and white image into the mask layer?

Seems it doesn`t work with 32 bit images
