RayM4 reacted to byron in Canvas not rotating on Affinity (Windows)
    Hi all,

I purchased Affinity Photo for both the Mac and Windows versions, as I have both a Mac and a PC (Surface Pro).  On my Mac, I can rotate the photo by using the touch rotate gesture, but when I go to try it on the Windows version, it doesn't work.  The Surface Pro is touch enabled, so I can pinch and zoom, move the canvas around, etc.  Yet, for some reason, I cannot get the rotate canvas to work.  Any ideas??

    Thank you.

    Hi,
I am from the video game industry, with an art background.

I have been using photoshop forever, but only using Affinity photo for an hour or so, and I love it.

I am having trouble figuring out how to rotate the canvas when painting (R in photoshop), I know about the incremental rotation (which looks ugly), but to hit lines and be able to paint properly I would love to just be able to rotate the canvas on the fly, do my stroke, and go back to default. Am I just a noob or is this not possible yet?

I would move completely to affinity if I could just rotate the canvas.

Some "Lazy mouse" features would also be a huge bonus.

BTW thank you for letting me hold down CTRL+Z. And thank you for brush categories.

Forgive me for just pointing to Photoshop as the precedent that we all want to (or at least speaking personally, I want to) get unyoked from, but what I'm referring to is how you can just hit 'R' in Photoshop and rotate the canvas any arbitrary amount. Essentially R + LClick does the live rotate, and I hope AP can add this feature as it is essential for painterly illustration work.
