  1. Thanks Mark. In that case, can you tell us how high up your list of priorities DXF support is?
  2. of course it's a complicated process. surely the best approach is to try to encourage serif that there must be a strong business case for implementing this. I don't like it when someone tells me how to run my business but I don't mind the odd suggestion.
  3. Can I suggest you all join in the conversation here?
  4. eejits, could you post a link to your twitter post so we can retweet?
  5. Come on, do it!!! If it was in drawplus X why not affinity?
  6. Without DXF export AD is useless to my company. Talk about stumbling at the final hurdle...
  7. I'd be really interested to know the actual cost of implementing this. How many additional licenses would cover the cost of the development? Could you crowdfund this feature if it's a commercial decision not to implement thus far?
  8. I was very excited when I heard Affinity Designer was in the works as I thought it would be a perfect addition for my company and would finally free me from illustrator. However, the lack of DXF export makes it useless for my purposes. I have an art production company and 90% or our work is setting up 2D cut files for laser cutting and cnc milling. I am stuck with AI even though I loathe it and even have a legacy copy of DrawPlus X8 which I use to regenerate pretty much every dxf file I produce BECAUSE THEY ARE THE MOST RELIABLE CROSS-PROGRAM-FRIENDLY DXFS I HAVE EVER USED. It is a major hassle having to do this though (duplicating files, managing, renaming, locating files etc.,). So frustrating I can't combine the streamlined workflow of Affinity AND output files I can actually use for something other than print. I have a lot of contemporaries nearby who won't make the change to AD for that one reason alone. Please consider this Serif - I'm sure it would be worthwhile in additional sales to the likes of me!

  10. Yes please, essential to me too. I bought designer expecting this would be an obvious basic feature. We are a multi-dis design and fabrication studio deeding to output DXF for laser cutting, CNC, waterjet etc, and this could take over as the master software with this one feature. I also work regularly with 50 or so companies who would gladly switch from Adobe to Affinity if they supported this feature. Same must be the case in every design community all over the world. Here's hoping...
