  1. Affinty Publisher Beta version 1.7.0.376

    Hi,

I use layouts. I’ve replaced one image with another. The framing of the new image did not have the same proportion as the image it was supposed to replace. The new image was distorted. The deletion of the already inserted image, leaves in memory of the framing of the layout the information of its proportion! Nothing to do! I had to redo the new page.

    Kind regards,

    Hubert Pawlowski

  2. Hi,

I have been using Affinity Photo in a less conventional way. On a scanned plan, I wanted to indicate (in blue color) the plan of a virtual tour.

If it is easy to trace a continuation of straight lines (with Shift down), it was difficult, even impossible, to add the independent sections of branches. We would say, that a strange magnetism obliged to begin these new lines from a point belonging to the previous line, not necessarily the last point. I did not manage to do what I wanted even by drawing on new layers.

Can you explain me how to proceed?

    Hubert

  3. Thank you Dominik,

I had no idea of the existence of the possibility of saving such presets. It is useful. But, it is really complicated! It is necessary to name every selection, in more - separately for the "basic" tab, « lens » and "details ». It is necessary to re-click every name to apply a preset to every new photo. If meanwhile, we change a single parameter, it is necessary to rename!

The synchronization that I’m talking about has to be applied only once for a selection of the photos of a single panorama. It has no sense to keep its name for other cases which will be different. One of my 360° photo is composed of 6 pictures with triple bracketing (18 images to be treated with the same presets). One virtual tour may have 15 panoramas = 45 presets (3 tabs). I make 4 - 8 virtual tour per month. How to manage a mass of presets?

Why not to propose a synchronization simple and immediate as in LR or Capture One?

  4. Thank you Tony B,

I was trying to change the projection immediately after the re-touching of the first area. If I proceed as you describe (Layer/Live Projections/Edit Live Projection), there is no problem. However, when creating a new layer, it is important to merge it with the original with Command+E. The use of the « Merge all visible layers » or « Document/Make Flat », makes « Remove Projection » inaccessible.

  5. Hello,

I am photographer specialized in the panoramic photo 360 °. The possibility of retouch in a modified projection would be of a big help in my work. It would make economy of the additional conversions (equirectangular / cubic / equirectangular) and would facilitate the retouch of nadirs or of zones that covers 2 cubic faces in the same time.

The promise of this feature was the main cause of my purchase of Affinity Photo. Unfortunately there is a bug in this function (version 1.5.CR). Please analyze screenshots in attached files. I repeated the experience 4 times with the same result.

    I use iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late on 2015, with memory of 8 Go + AMD Radeon R9 M390 2048 Mb, macOS Sierra 10.12.

    Screen 1

I opened with Affinity Photo a panorama 360° saved as the equirectangular projection.

    Screen 2

I changed the display of the projection (equirectangular to the rectilinear) and I chose the centring to visualize the zone to be retouched.

    Screen 3

The routouche was made but I lost the possibility of navigation inside a sphere 360 ° (impossible to make the next centring and next retouch), my panorama 360 °/180 ° became a simple, rectilinear picture, reframed during retouching process. To get back the whole equirectangular panorama, I decided to leave the rectilinear projection.

    Screen 4

I noticed on the equirectangular panorama:

    - My retouch was made.

    - 2 strips extracted from my panorama were placed by the top (in the same layer).

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

I work some years with Photoshop and Ligthroom. I am seduced by Affinity Photo that I test at present. I have a problem consisting in not being able to obtain with Affinity the details of the sky (what is not a problem with Camera RAW). Could you see the following files ?

Perhaps I make an error in my development settings with Photo Persona.

    Kind regards,

  7. Hello,

I am a photographer specialized in the panoramic photo (360 °, but also HD by assembly mosaics). Affinity interests me as an alternative to Photoshop and Lightroom that I use. Affinity’s possibility in  retouch of an equirectangular when looking a rectilinear projection is a great advantage for me.

Is there with Affinity a possibility of a repetitive process of the conversion RAW / TIF for a series of photos? It is advisable to apply the same settings (modifications) to all images of the same panorama.

    Kind regards,
