  1. Just make sure you have the latest Versions of the Nik Collection installed and set proper paths in AP in the Plugins preference panel, like stated in post #7. No need for Nik support. At least it works for me this way.

I just tried this using '/Applications/Nik Collection/' in the "Plugin Search Folders" text box and '/' in the "Plugin Support Folders" text box. Nothing shows up in the "Detected Plugins" text box, even after a restart. Exactly how are you getting them working????

  2. In software house parlance that means don't hold your breath. That is a simple stock answer. I know, I'm a cynic :-)

Agreed. I especially love the "...several of our users" bit. Unfortunately, I think it confirms that we are in for a long wait from Nik.

I'm just hoping that the Affinity team can make some headway on the remaining components given that some have already been ported.

  3. Update: I received the following back this morning from Nik:

"I appreciate you taking the time to send in your feedback. We have received a compatibility request for Affinity Photo from several of our users. As we do value the feedback we receive from our photographers, I will be sure to provide it to the appropriate team for their review and consideration for future compatibility updates."

  4. Hello edwardsson, simonclivehughes,

    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

We are still working on Photoshop plug-in support. This is not a trivial task since there's some Mac App Store restrictions in place, Affinity has to support some specific API calls for certain plug-ins to work and as Asha mentioned, having direct support from plug-ins developers also takes some time. Hopefully things will improve as we move forward. I don't know yet more details/timeframes for the remaining Nik plug-ins, sorry.

Understood that supporting PS plug-ins is ongoing, but since you already support some of the Nik collection, I would assume your quoted App Store and API issues are moot in this case?

  5. Hey Jack, thanks for the reply. Yeah, I was about to fall back on that method as I've tried various other options (re folder paths) and no joy. Seems as though there must be a fairly simple fix for this, however, as Nik certainly has to store the scripts somewhere... we just need to figure out where that is and how to "reconnect" to it on the different platform.

    Cheers!
