I've attached the crashing document. The rectangle on left copies fine. The one on the right crashes.

[Join two straight lines (curves)]

I'm trying to draw a wall in plan view. All lines are straight (straight curves?) I would like to join these curves so I can create a closed shape and fill it. I've read the docs and many forum posts about joining nodes. However the join option is never presented. I'm using Designer V2.

Separately I created a new document and simply created two lines that I could use to learn the join tool. I can drag the end of the node over the top of the other one but again, no join option is available and the lines are never connected.

I have a simple rectangle which I've changed the stroke color. When I try to copy the shape it crashes. Either using copy menu or hitting ctrl-c. Same result. I can copy any other shape fine, but one of them always crashes.
