I do not knowingly use a font manager.
I installed font handelgotdlig in the last couple of years in connection with my membership of U3A.

Yes I did try resetting the App previously, but I did it again just to be sure, and it made no difference.
Installed the latest GPU driver from NVIDIA and again no difference.
Renderer options are GeForce (selected) and WARP. I tried switching to WARP and again it still failed. Have now switched back to GeForce

During startup the Task Manager has the list of Apps showing Affinity(2). When the crash happens there are first just one instance then none.
log.txt file attached as requested.

This makes no difference. It still fails most of the time.

The repair tool claims to have done some repairs to .NET version 4.5.1, but I don't think it has made any difference. Tried restarting windows and running the repair tool again and got the same messages. Still Affinity Photo sometimes works and sometimes not. I get the impression that it always works the first time it is run after restarting windows, but I may not have done this often enough to be sure; this case seems to take longer.

Is anything happening on a resolution to this problem?
Is it worth reverting to an earlier version (if so, which one) or shall I just continue to struggle each time not knowing whether it will start up or not?

I have just updated to Affinity Photo 1.7.3.481 and having problems on startup. It begins to open the normal user interface, but then pauses for a few seconds and disappears. If I keep trying then sometimes it works. I have tried re-starting Windows 10 after the update. Also the reset as suggested earlier in this chain. It still fails most of the time.
