Just replace the image I have with yours, you may need/want to change the size of the rectangle I used as a mask. Basically. I just masked an image and placed it under the stock image which I set to darken. That preserves the shadow.

I´d take 2 rectangles; 1 for the frame including the fake shadow shape and 1 smaller for the frame content. Adjust color/blur and transparency. Maybe this will work your you:

I have about ten stock images that I want to place my poster images on but I'm having trouble figuring out how to copy the shadow that's over the frame. I want to place my image and then put the shadow back in. Is there a way to do this? I have Photo, Designer, and Publisher but I'm trying to do this on Photo.

I've been using Publisher since the beta and now have the full version. I constantly get an error message when I save files that the "document failed to save and must now be closed." There's no way for me to click back and choose Save As instead. It just closes the file and I have to hope the recovery file saved my last changes. Any ideas?
