  1. Hi Walt, In Affinity Designer 2 if you hit the Help Menu there's nothing in there if you search Font Manager. However, if you do an online search for how to get to Font Manager it takes you here: https://affinity.help/publisher/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Text/fontManager.html?title=Font Manager I see it says publisher in the link now, but if you click the link not looking at the URL the instructions are confusing. This is what I was looking to get answered. I wondered if it's possible to switch certain fonts on or off, and or group fonts in the upper left Font Family dropdown. Is there an option like that on AD2? I need to manage a lot of fonts and Alphabetical order seems to be the only way.
  2. The instructions for how to find the Font Manager say go to the Document Menu. WhereTF is that? These AD instructions that leave no obvious pointers (like in the upper right corner) are maddening. 20 minutes searching for the f'ing thing.
  3. Walt & Henry, Thank you both for responding! I can use both of your suggestions, and will give them both a go to see what works best in my situation. Here's how I've been doing it. I group the draft I want to keep, and name it something like Version 1, then I duplicate it, and keep Version 1 right on top of all my layers. Next I ungroup the copied version and keep working until I get to Version 2 and repeat the process. Pretty soon I have several versions I can compare by switching on and off in the layers panel. I guess necessity is the mother of all invention. lol! Thanks again!
  4. Is there any way to save versions of work in a workflow? In other words, if I'm working on a project, and at some point identify some stage of my work as a point to return to for reference, is there a way to save this spot so I can return to it with a click, then be able to return to my current state of work without losing any history data? Often I make several finished rough drafts in my workflows, but have no way to save versions or organize these points in my working history for reference without demolishing my working history.
  5. Duuuuude! Playing with that feature I see how it works! I would have never even noticed that icon much less known what it was. Solved. Thank you! 😃
  6. If I roll the History position back several moves to see an earlier version of my work and as much as touch an object, all of the work I have done beyond the current point gets lost. Is there a way to preserve all my subsequent moves if I make an edit at a midway point?
  7. Hey fd, ~ thanks for responding! I solved the issue. I quit and rebooted the program. I think it was a glitch, because now it works. Ghost in the machine. ðŸ‘― Thanks bud.
  8. I have a mask group on a top layer that is not locked. When I click, it doesn't highlight to be able to move the object. This typically occurs when a layer is locked. I can highlight the object in the Layers sidebar, but clicking the object does nothing. What am I missing?
  9. I haven't either, and I can imagine a lot of things that could possibly go South. Good to know. Thanks Carl!
  10. That worked! Cool.👍 Have you experienced any bugs with a V1 file moved to V2?
  11. Ahh! In that case, where can I click to get that pop up again? I would like to import that stuff. That must be the Following a thread notification. Thanks!
  12. Yup. I have enough pro-apps to know, this is a no on first brush. Quick noob question, If I don't quote you, did you still get pinged I responded to your reply?
  13. Hmm. Upon opening the app the first pop-up asks if you want to bulk switch all files. I didn't. But I'm thinking it would generally be ok. Do you know what issues are known thus far? Is there a thread of angry hornets I should be aware of here somewhere?
  14. I have a large number of files on AD1 and I'm hesitant to bulk switch all of these file to AD2. Anyone have any negative experiences doing this? Any data loss? High weirdness? Oh shit's?
  15. Ahh, I'm being overly dramatic insinuating this was the only reason I upgraded to AD2. I need to upgrade anyway. I'd be behind the curve in 3 months if I didn't get a head start on AD2. Serves me right for not listening to PE. lol
  16. @MEB Wow! Thanks for the tip on working between AD and PD! This simplifies my workflow, and is probably the most straight forward work around. Thank you. 😊
  17. Thanks for the insight on the work in progress. On the second part: Or maybe use precise language in marketing with a few words like "only with vector files."ðŸĪŠ
  18. Noob here. So will the warp tool work on images or no? Affinity Photo1 has a killer feature I use all the time for warping images. I can't imagine the designers not building this in to AD2. The warp tool on Affinity Designer 2 for images, not shapes was the reason I bought the upgrade.
  19. Hey tele, I tried switching this feature on and off, but the moment I paste from one project window to another it goes from this to this. Am I still missing what you mean?
  20. Why is it if I paste a big .png file or even an .eps file of text, images pixelate like this after I export in Affinity Photo? Even when I drop the file in, it looks pixelated while I'm editing? The file does not appear pixelated like this until I drop it into another project window.
  21. Cool! Thanks to you both! And yes, Dog is my co-pilot. :^) I love this tool! It's exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks
  22. Hi, I need a way to smoothly bend or arch downward an image to appear as if it is wrapping around a bottle. Attached is an image is from Photoshop tools. Which tool should I use in AD pr AP to accomplish the same smooth bend?
