Could you try turning it off, please.
Same for me. After turning off Metal for compute acceleration it is much faster. Nearly the same as before 1.7.0
I didn‘t tried the new beta version 1.7.1 up to now. Should it help for the performance issue?

Is Metal compute enabled in Preferences > Performance?

Hello,
here are my System information:
iMac Pro (2017)
3.2GHz Intel Xeon W
32GB Ram
Radeon Pro Vega 56 8GB
macOS 10.14.5
I set Affinity Photo to use "Apple (Core Image RAW)" for RAW-Engine. But I also tried it with "Serif Labs" RAW-Engine. Same result, very slow.

Hello,
I have a iMac Pro and since the todays update to version 1.7.0 Affinity Photo is very slow when working with e.g. stacking. It was pretty fast before but since today it is nearly unusable.
What do you need to analyze this?
Kind regards
Michael

Meanwhile on macos 10.15.5 (Catalina) and Affinity Photo 1.8.3 on my iMac Pro but using GPU does not speed up the Affinity Photo system at all. It makes it still very slow.
I assume using GPU should speed up the system, but I prefer to use Software and have fun with my 8 core processor. This is not what I expect.
