It looks like Photo still can't do this?
I will have to download GIMP to get this functionality for now. What a bummer.
I'm preparing alphas for use as texturing tools. there are about 600 of various sizes and I need them all to be exactly 2048 x 2048 to work well in texturing software. So I need to import them so that they all line up perfectly in the center of the document, and then export all layers individually. I thought the batch job tool would do this, but apparently not.

Damn, I was researching a better workflow for channel packing and stumbled upon this. I don't suppose per-layer channel work is planned in the future? It would be especially useful for texture artists.
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured out how to do this. Looks like it's possible after all. Cheers!

Hoping the rotation tools improve. It doesn't even have to be touch input: the canvas manipulation is especially nice in Krita, I haven't found anything that matches it. (hold shift + spacebar and drag left or right).
Artists rotate their canvas constantly, all over the place. This feature is very essential for digital artists. I hope the Affinity dev team considers implementing it soon. Cheers!

As a workaround for now, you can use Krita or GIMP to export to TGA. It's a workaround for now. I know how useful TGA's are for game development. Blender doesn't even like .png files (png normal maps look hideous in Cycles).

Somehow I got my brush working normally again, though I'm not sure how.

I'm new to Affinity and I like it so far, except that I can't seem to paint
I can only draw straight liines with any brush I choose. I can draw with the mouse however.
I"ve tried restarting my computer and Affinity. Once, with I dropped a bitmap into affinity, it started working again for a little while and I could draw as normal.
It's as though shift is stuck when I go into affinity (but it isn't and I can draw easily in other paint software).
any help fixing this would be very much appreciated! thanks ^^

Affinity's wonderful, and worth the money. But I would never use it for drawing or painting. Every other program I can think of is better for that. Try Krita.
