JimGoshorn
It would appear that Blend Ranges in the layer options is basically equivalent to Photoshop's blend-If sliders? In Photoshop's blend-if, you can split the triangle settings so that the blends will be smoother. Since you can specify in and out percentages but there doesn't seem to be a way to finesse them, how can you finely control the transitions? anon1
Staff Leigh Posted July 7, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 7, 2015 You have 3 options. Manually type in the values, use the pop out slider or drag the nodes individually. Since I add extra nodes to the graph, I always prefer to drag the nodes. What would you prefer?
JimGoshorn
That I understand. My question was how are the transitions handled? If I set the in at 25% which would be an RGB value of about 64 and the out at 75% which would be approximately 192, is it a hard edge transition at those values? Does Designer automatically add a soft fade to and from those values?
Staff MEB Posted July 7, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 7, 2015 Hi JimGoshorn, To smooth out the transitions remove the tick from the Linear checkbox at the bottom of the graphs. There's no way to control precisely the transition as you do in Photoshop splitting the triangles. JimGoshorn
Thanks. I just checked the beta and found the checkbox. Maybe the developers could think about making it more precise because the app isn't only vector?
