It would appear that Blend Ranges in the layer options is basically equivalent to Photoshop's blend-If sliders? In Photoshop's blend-if, you can split the triangle settings so that the blends will be smoother. Since you can specify in and out percentages but there doesn't seem to be a way to finesse them, how can you finely control the transitions?

You have 3 options. Manually type in the values, use the pop out slider or drag the nodes individually. Since I add extra nodes to the graph, I always prefer to drag the nodes. What would you prefer?

That I understand. My question was how are the transitions handled? If I set the in at 25% which would be an RGB value of about 64 and the out at 75% which would be approximately 192, is it a hard edge transition at those values? Does Designer automatically add a soft fade to and from those values?
