I purchased a font yesterday but it will not work in Affinity Photo. I’m able to get the font to work in MS Word & Apple Pages on my MacBook Pro. Sent it to a friend who has a PC. He could not get it to work in Affinity either. However said it worked for him in PhotoShop. Ideas?

Hi ALMattSr,

Welcome to the forums :)

Sorry to hear you're having trouble, can you please provide a copy of the font to the following link so I can investigate this further? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your file, when Previewing the font on Windows it shows the following -

I've opened the font through Font Forge and the following Glyphs are shown -

Could you please confirm, is this an SVG font with no 'fallback' glyphs?

Thanks for that, this certainly appears to be an SVG font which unfortunately isn't supported in Affinity apps, hence your font isn't working - my apologies!

After doing more research it is an SVG file that has been converted to OTF...ugh!

Thanks for the help!

It is an otf file that has vector svg components in it. It's part of the specification for OpenType.
