Color of an image diffent in Photos and Publisher

Recommended Posts

Creating a Photobook I tried to import a blue image from Photos into Publisher. But the color in Publisher is not blue but violet.
What can be the cause? How can I get the blue picture in the Publisher?

Check the document colour profile and colour format, it's probably CMYK in Affinity Publisher and RGB in Affinity Photo.

If your photobook design is intended for print though, the muted violet colors from your second screenshot are a much more accurate representation of what your photo will look on paper. That's what CMYK color modes are for. Without using spot colors, it's nearly impossible to recreate that rich, saturated blue tone of your RGB photo in print.
