I received a reminder from Adobe today that my Creative Cloud Photo subscription will expire in a few days. If I don't pay, I can no longer use the software. I will not renew my subscription. It's time for a change, so I finally chose Affinity Photo. After almost 15 years of using Photoshop, I've had enough of Adobe's constant bickering. The future of photo editing is now in the hands of others. I'm looking forward to all the new things that this transition will bring. :-)

Howdy PNTX,  I understand, was a PhotoShop user from back when it was packaged with BarnyScan devices!  No worries, I love AffinityPhoto, I switched and never looked back.  My only issue abandoning Adobe is the lack of a good replacement for Acrobat,  At this point, I prefer the interface Affinity offers, it is much like PhotoShop in the years before it started getting complicated and crowded in the interface with the rest of the Adobe suite. It is easy to learn, has some really sharp tools and so far has been handling all of my legacy files.

I had to switch back to Photoshop since to many functions are missing in Affinity.

Maybe you should tell what is missing from your viewpoint and make feature requests. Otherwise you may be disappointed with 2.x when still features are missing you need. Or perhaps there are already workarounds you do not know right now. Often enough I am surprised, what is possible at this point.
