Effect in PDF gets rasterised (to much!)

Hi myname,

This looks like it should be retained as vector, if possible could you provide the Affinity project file so I can look into this further with you?

Thanks

You added a Layer Effect (Outline). Why didn't you use a simple stroke (Align stroke to outside) for this task?

No idea. I am sorry I can't answer since I don't know what you mean (I am a basic user).

I will try to find it (simple stroke as you said).

1. Select your character(s)

2. Have a look at panel stroke. Set the width, and colour (white) of the stroke. Set Align stroke to outside.

3. Done. ;)

Wow! It worked!! Thank you, Joachim_L !!

Additional questions: 1) can I by any way remove all applied effects at once?
2) Or to swap all of them with the simple stroke?
3) ...And if there is an option to save that stroke as preset so that I can simply apply to the another items?

I really love Affinity Publisher!!

1) Simple if it is always the same effect. Select the layers with the effect. Menu -> Layer -> Layer Effects... Switch the effect off there.

2) You can select the layers that had a effect before and apply the stroke.

3) Yes, one style overwrites the other. So make a style for the more complicated things or have a look at Assets if this might work better for you.

To 1) To remove various effects on various layers at once (which honestly take two steps): Select the layers with effects. Menu -> Layer -> Layer Effects... Turn on all effects. Close the window. Open it again and now switch off all effects and close the window. Now all the layers are without an effect.
