Setting default app to open files

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've just noticed that if I set the default app to open .afdesign files to Affinity Designer, it also becomes the default to open .afphoto files and vice versa if I set the default for .afphoto files to Affinity Photo.

Am I right in assuming this is because of the commonly shared code base & does this explain why the documents have generic icons instead of custom icons that readily identify them as .afphoto or .afdesign files?

Paul.

Oh yes, it would be soo great if that could be sorted out. I must confess I am suffering from this issue since the introduction of Affinity Photo on Lion … the right mouse button has become my best friend since then … but it is cumbersome …
