"This file includes features from a later version of Affinity"

Recommended Posts

Hey there!

So I upgraded my beta version from 1.7.3.x to 1.8.0.486 and tried to open a file - first I got the usual "Open non-Beta-document" dialogue - although this file was created with a beta version of Affinity Designer. After hitting either "Continue" or "Make Copy" I get an error dialogue (see attachements). Other documents which were created previously with the same 1.7.3.x beta version of AD open just fine in 1.8.0.486-b.

Greetings, Joe

Do you remember what you had done in that file at all, particularly what features you were using? I'd be interested to see if you could capture the creation of a file that exhibits this on video, or a simple step by step recipe!

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (File refuses to open in 1.8.0) of the program in the latest beta release of Affinity Photo & Affinity Designer on Windows. If you would like to try these changes the beta software is available in the forum posts listed below. Once Affinity Publisher has been through a full beta process the change will be released in a future free 1.8.0 update to all customers.

The 1.8.0.514 beta builds are in links at the top of these beta forum posts
