How to draw sunburst or sun rays?

So, this is how I did it :)

 

  • Add an Ellipse with no Fill and a Stroke colour - I selected Red!
  • Go to Stroke and select Dash from Style
  • Select Butt Cap from Cap: and select Align Stroke to Outside from Align: 
  • Set 100pt in Width
  • Now go to Layer > Expand Stroke
  • Make sure object is selected and go to Edit > Duplicate
  • Use CMD + Shift to resize the new object inside the original one
  • Go to Edit > Duplicate to use Power Duplicate to recreate the previous step

The cog tool was definitely the way to go on this one...
